Dance Alberta provides the highest quality dance education through professional instruction in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, and related fields of dance. We strive to provide this education in a positive, fun and professional atmosphere, training dedicated, balanced, well-mannered and thinking individuals who will be an asset to any community.

Standards of excellence in dance are upheld at Dance Alberta through Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams as well as through Al Gilbert Tap Exams. Dance Alberta employs the most highly qualified teachers in Canada for these syllabi.

Dance Alberta offers students of all ages and levels classes in a variety of dance genres taught by qualified, professional instructors. In addition to our dance classes, we are proud to offer classes or workshops in areas such as Injury Prevention, Pilates, Dance History, Choreography and Composition, and Musical Theatre.

Dance Alberta is also host to several Master Classes taught by visiting dance professionals and pedagogues throughout the season.Students enrolled at Dance Alberta are given performance opportunities in non-competitive venues on several occasions during the season. Dance Alberta believes performance experience is integral to a well-rounded dance education whether for a professionally minded student, or a recreational student.

Tied closely to our promise of offering non-competitive performance opportunities to all of our students is Dance Alberta’s commitment to community involvement. The school brings dance into the lives of those who may not generally be exposed to the art. Dance Alberta also strives to create and maintain connections with other artists and organizations in the community, existing as a dynamic arts “neighbour” in Edmonton.
